Zulima Sáenz (Jeff): “We use AI and Machine Learning technologies to support the decision making of our partners"

Since its creation in 2015 as an App for laundry and dry cleaning services, startup Jeff has grown exponentially to become a global platform for entrepreneurs, with a presence in more than 40 countries in Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Zulima Sáenz, Jeff's Service Design & Innovation Lead, participated in the ‘Innovation in the Company’ roundtable organised by the Valencia CF Business Club, where she explained the importance of continually moving forward.

The startup, which joined up with Valencia CF in 2019 as Official Supplier, is an example of continuous innovation. In early 2020 it would receive the 'Golden Records' award for the best startup of the year at the ‘The Others BCN’ event.

One of the keys to its success, Sáenz explained, is applying technology to a sector for which it was alien: “We seek to understand the needs of our clients in depth, to design a good experience for the final consumer, working in different verticals and markets. In addition we accompany our entrepreneurs throughout their journey, giving them the best tools for decision-making. To do this, we use technologies based on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, among others, to help them from the moment they search for the location of their premises through to their starting the business. We optimise operations and define actions to improve business performance.”

With the use of technology and data analysis, Jeff is reaching a wider audience all the time, in addition to being faster and more flexible -allowing it to generate more business, always being attentive to the opportunities that may arise at all levels.

"When you detect a problem for a user, you have to explore different alternatives, because an interesting opportunity for the future may arise from there. You have to be very attentive to a changing market and its trends." She continued, before emphasising the "importance of incorporating people with different perspectives within teams, business technology and the more human side, which is what the user understands.”

“For our partners in physical stores, we provide technology and digital media that support decision-making, in order to optimise business operations both from the moment the client first considers starting a business to accompanying them at every stage until they get their investment back.”
