Valencia CF incorporate Hyperloop UPV into VCF Innovation Hub
Valencia CF have reached an agreement with Hyperloop UPV, through which a team made up of young talents from the Universitat Politècnica de València join the 'VCF Innovation Hub.' They are working on a project to create the prototype for a futuristic means of transport.
In the interesting and exciting race to create a more sustainable and ecological means of transport, Hyperloop UPV have received several accolades worldwide. Amongst them are the awards for 'Best Conceptual Design' and 'Best Propulsion System' at the 'Hyperloop Desing Weekend' organied by SpaceX, which prompted the creation of the subsequent prototypes 'Atlantic II,' 'Valentia' and 'Turian.' The latter was the winner of the Innovation Award at the 'Hyperloop Pod Competition IV.'
Its projects, made up of vacuum capsules that combine magnetic levitation and propulsion, have always been among the Top 10 in the 'Hyperloop Pod Competition,' which aims to promote revolutionary means of transporting passengers and goods that can reach speeds of 1,100km/h. The competition was devised by Elon Musk, founder of Tesla and creator of Paypal.
Through the VCF Innovation Hub, the club will support young local groups such as Hyperloop UPV in projects as complex as they are exciting. The creation of high speed transport would be very important both for Valencia as a Smart City, and for the club on its journey to turn Mestalla into a Smart Stadium.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Mestalla was one of the most visited places in the city, attended by between 1.5 and 2 million people annually. Hence the importance of fostering and supporting innovative mobility solutions for the future, which continue to improve the fan experience.
